Flower Selection Guide - Choose Your Flowers in 3 Steps
Choosing a gift isn't always easy; even an idea is usually the result of careful consideration beforehand. Otherwise, our choices might not please the recipient or could lead to misunderstandings. Selecting flowers requires the same level of thoughtfulness. Time, place, person, purpose, tastes, colors... all are variables. Just because you think you're going to buy/send flowers doesn't mean your favorite color will be the recipient's. Or, flowers sent to someone you're not very close to, simply to show you're thinking, could take on very different meanings and lead to misunderstandings.
We thought about it and wanted to make this process even easier. We're sure that both the person sending the flowers and the person receiving them will be happy :)
Step 1: First and foremost, who we are sending the flowers to and our relationship/closeness with that person is the most crucial factor.

Step 2: Why are we sending the flowers, what is our purpose?
We've talked about the people involved and the degree of closeness, but these flowers might not always be suitable. Perhaps we should choose a more showy, more meaningful flower, or maybe something simpler...
Step 3: Where are we sending the flowers? Home, workplace, hospital, etc.?
We can make the best choice based on the purpose of sending the flowers and the location where they will be delivered.
For example, if we want to send flowers to a sick loved one, and our intention is to wish them a speedy recovery, we shouldn't choose flowers that they are allergic to or that have a scent that would bother them. (Step 2: Purpose)
We need to consider whether we are sending the flowers to the hospital or to the home, whether that unit will accept the flowers, how long the flowers will stay at the hospital, and whether they will reach the recipient. (Step 3: Where are we sending them?)

If the recipient is male, you can opt for lucky bamboo and bonsai trees. Bonsai trees, depicted by Buddhists as a green ladder leading to heaven in a religious ritual, symbolize harmony between earth, heaven, humanity, and nature. Growing bonsai is seen as a way to empathize, find harmony, and experience a different way of life's cycle (birth and growth). It would be a unique and meaningful birthday gift.
