The first step of the ceremony
What kind of flowers should be given for a marriage proposal?
The bouquet for a marriage proposal should be designed to reflect the elegance and seriousness of this special moment, marking the first step towards starting a life together with the person you love. Large and showy bouquets are usually preferred; the choice of color and type of flowers determines the tone of the message.
Color choice conveys the message.
White roses represent purity and innocence, red roses symbolize love and passion, and pink tones represent tenderness and romance. White is preferred for a classic look, while red is chosen for a more assertive gesture.
Freshness of the flowers is a determining factor.
Wilted or damaged flowers don't make a good impression; fresh flowers delivered on the day of the order will be noticeable in the photos of the ceremony.
The size should be balanced.
The size of the bouquet should be neither too large nor too small; 20-40 stems is a balanced scale for most ceremonies, depending on the size of the hall or house.
Presentation and packaging should be meticulous.
Ribbon, wrapping paper, and any accompanying note card are details that complete the overall effect of the bouquet.
Scale guide
How Many Flowers Are Needed for an Engagement? Quantity and Color Selection.
The most popular choices in our collection are odd numbers of roses, such as 21, 41, 51, and 101. Quantity isn't a strict rule; the table below summarizes common choices and the messages they convey.
Common choices for engagement flowers
| Piece | The message it conveys | The appropriate ceremony |
|---|---|---|
| 15-20 stalks | A simple and elegant start. | Medium-sized, classical ceremonies |
| 21 roses | A heartfelt and sincere gesture. | Standard engagement ceremony |
| 41 roses | A special and romantic touch | A more lavish ceremony |
| 51 roses | A powerful and impressive gesture. | Ceremonies with large family participation |
| 101 roses | The embodiment of love, loyalty, and passion. | Ceremonies focused on prestige and ostentation. |
| 201-1001 roses | An unforgettable, talked-about gesture. | Custom order; stock confirmation required. |
Peonies and orchids are alternative symbols of love and commitment.
Flowers that symbolize love and commitment should be preferred; besides roses, peonies express tenderness, and orchids convey deep affection and romance. These flowers can be used alone or in a mixed design with roses.
Presentation format
Engagement Flower Bouquet, Box, or Vase?
The same number and color of flowers can create a very different effect with different presentation styles. The comparison below summarizes which presentation stands out when.
| Presentation | Its strength | The border |
|---|---|---|
| Bouquet | The classic, passable, and most familiar look in the photograph. | It needs to be placed in a vase; it's a bit more delicate to handle. |
| Flowers in a box | Easy to carry and store; glass boxes can also be used as decorative items. | The number of visible flowers may be more limited than what is in the bouquet. |
| Vase arrangement | After the ceremony, they settle into the house, eliminating the need to search for a vase. | It is bulkier to carry than a bouquet. |
| Flowers + chocolate | It adds an extra sweet gesture to the ceremony; it can be presented in a basket or vase. | Pre-ordering may be required for preparation. |
To preserve the memory
How to Dry and Store Engagement Flowers?
Preserving and drying the engagement flowers as a memento of the engagement ceremony is a common practice. The following two methods are the most practical.
Hang to dry
Hang the flower stems upside down in a clean, dry place using a string or wire. They will dry naturally in 1-2 weeks in a well-ventilated area; this is the most common and easiest method.
Pressing method
Place the leaves flat and open between a book or pressing paper and put a weight on top. Leaving them compressed for a few weeks will give you a flat and dried result; suitable for those who want to frame them.
Keep dried flowers away from direct sunlight.
Sunlight fades the color; storing dried flowers in a dry, shaded place or displaying them in a glass container will help preserve their color and form for longer.

Things to consider when delivering engagement flowers.
- Since the engagement date is fixed, for large orders (51 roses and above), it is recommended to place your order 1-2 days in advance.
- Plan the address (house, venue) where the ceremony will take place and the delivery time according to a timeframe prior to the ceremony.
- If the recipient is not found at the address, the recipient is contacted first, then the sender; the package is left with instructions or postponed to a later date.
- Card notes must be added during the ordering process; notes cannot be added after delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Engagement Flowers
Here you can find brief answers regarding quantity, color, presentation, storage, and delivery within Istanbul. For order-specific stock and time information, please refer to the product card and payment screen.
What kind of flowers should be given for a marriage proposal?
The bouquet for a marriage proposal is usually large and showy, reflecting the elegance and seriousness of this special moment. White represents purity, red love and passion, and pink tenderness; roses, peonies, and orchids are the most frequently used flowers for this ceremony. The packaging and presentation of the bouquet should be as meticulous as its overall elegance.
How many flowers are there for an engagement ceremony, and does the choice of number have any significance?
The most popular choices in our collection are odd numbers of roses, such as 21, 41, 51, and 101; 41 roses are a special and heartfelt gesture, while 101 roses are chosen as the most opulent expression of love and devotion. The number of roses isn't a strict rule; medium-sized designs with 15-20 stems are also commonly used, depending on the scale of the ceremony and the desired level of opulence.
What color should be chosen for the engagement bouquet?
White roses represent purity and innocence, red roses symbolize love and passion, and pink tones represent tenderness and romance. White is preferred for a classic and timeless look, red for a strong romantic gesture, and pink or multi-colored designs for a softer and more tender message.
Should the engagement flowers be a bouquet, a box, or in a vase?
A bouquet is the most classic and easily passed-from-hand choice. Boxed designs are frequently preferred because they are easy to carry and store; glass boxes can also be used as decorative items. Vase designs, on the other hand, are suitable for those looking for a gift that will be placed in the home after the ceremony and displayed for a long time.
Is it customary to add chocolate to engagement flowers?
Yes, designs featuring engagement flowers combined with chocolates hold a significant place in the collection. These arrangements, which combine flowers and chocolates, are a popular choice for those who want to add a sweet touch to their engagement ceremony; they can be presented in a vase or basket.
How to dry and store engagement flowers?
The most common method is to hang the flowers upside down on a string in a dry, well-ventilated place; they will dry naturally within 1-2 weeks. Those who prefer the pressing method can place the petals flat between books or pressing paper, add weight, and leave them for a few weeks. Dried flowers should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Does the groom's family also send flowers for the engagement ceremony? What are engagement flowers for the bride?
The engagement bouquet refers to the flowers that the groom-to-be sends to the family and the bride-to-be; it usually consists of showy flowers such as roses, peonies, and orchids. The color selection follows a similar logic to the classic engagement bouquet: white and pink tones symbolize purity, while red tones symbolize passion.
Is it appropriate to include a note or card with the engagement flowers?
Yes, a short and heartfelt message can be written in the card note section during ordering. For engagement ceremonies, a simple congratulatory message or a shared family phrase is usually preferred; the note entered during ordering is delivered along with the product.
Will my engagement flowers be delivered to Istanbul on the same day?
Same-day delivery is available to all 39 districts of Istanbul, provided there is sufficient stock and courier capacity. Orders placed before 16:00 for Beşiktaş, Şişli, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, and Kağıthane, and before 14:00 for the other 34 districts can be delivered the same day; delivery times can be selected as 10:00-16:00 or 16:00-20:00.
Can I cancel or change my engagement flower order?
Flowers are perishable and therefore an exception to the general right of withdrawal. You must submit your cancellation or change request via WhatsApp, phone, or email before your order is prepared and before delivery. Refunds will be credited to your account within 7-10 days, depending on interbank processing times; details can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions and Distance Selling Agreement .
