Strelitzia, botanically known as Strelitzia, is a tropical plant known for its large, paddle-shaped leaves; it is popularly known as the 'bird of paradise plant' because its flowers resemble a flying bird. It prefers plenty of indirect light and should be watered when the top layer of soil is dry. It is a large and decorative indoor plant, reaching a height of 100-200 cm.

Strelitzia with Ribbon Flowers
Ribbon Flowers was founded in 2014 by Buse Üçer in Reşitpaşa as a weekly flower delivery service; today, together with Ömer Üçer, it operates from its workshop in Etiler Bebeköy, serving all of Istanbul with its own courier team. Co-founder Buse Üçer was selected for the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women EMEIA program in 2023. This guide is based on the workshop's twelve years of ordering experience and the brand's published ordering policies; stock and product information is updated regularly.
Flowers are natural products; even within the same design, there may be slight variations in tone, stem, and level of openness. Vases, pots, or packaging may vary depending on stock availability; the orderer will be informed in advance of any possible changes. It gets its name because its orange-blue flowers, when in bloom, resemble a flying bird; however, in collections, it is most often presented as an ornamental plant with its broad green leaves.
Can the dahlia bloom indoors?
It rarely and takes a long time to bloom indoors; in our plant collection, it is usually chosen for the decorative effect of its leaf structure.
Will my Strelitzia order be delivered to Istanbul the same day?
Same-day delivery is available to all 39 districts of Istanbul, provided there is sufficient stock and courier capacity. Orders placed before 16:00 for Beşiktaş, Şişli, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, and Kağıthane, and before 14:00 for the other 34 districts can be delivered the same day; delivery times can be selected as 10:00-16:00 or 16:00-20:00.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Flowers are perishable and therefore an exception to the general right of withdrawal. You must submit your cancellation or change request via WhatsApp, phone, or email before your order is prepared and before delivery. Refunds will be credited to your account within 7-10 days, depending on interbank processing times; details can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions and Distance Selling Agreement .
