Information
What is Vanda Orchid, and how does it differ from Phalaenopsis?
Vanda is a genus of orchid that grows in nature by clinging to tree trunks and feeding with aerial roots without soil. Unlike the potted Phalaenopsis orchid, which is common in homes, it requires high humidity and light; therefore, it is used as a cut flower rather than a potted plant in collections. It is especially known for its purple, lilac, and blue-purple tones and spotted patterns; it is used as a complementary flower in bouquets with roses and delphiniums, and in pink tones in gift boxes.
Epiphyte orchid
In nature, it lives by clinging to trees and using aerial roots.
Purple-blue tones
It is known for its lilac, purple and blue-purple colors and speckled patterns.
Using cut flowers
The collection includes bouquets, vase arrangements, and gift boxes.
