Information
What do orchid colors mean?
Phalaenopsis orchids are found in nature in white, pink, purple, yellow, and speckled, veined mixtures of these colors. Blue orchids are not a natural color; they are obtained by adding food coloring to the flower stalk of white orchids and usually return to their natural color when the plant blooms again. Color choice conveys the message: white is preferred for corporate and formal sendings, pink and fuchsia for romantic sendings, and pomegranate for an eye-catching gift. For color-based details, please see the white orchid , purple orchid , pomegranate orchid , and blue orchid pages.
White
Purity and elegance; the most reliable choice for corporate and official mailings.
Purple and fuchsia
Nobility, admiration, and passion stand out in romantic and intimate messages.
Blue
It is not natural; it is obtained through dyeing and will revert to the natural color in new flowers.
