We are also very excited about the various workshops we will be holding in our new studio, which will be moving to Etiler very soon, and we can't wait to bring them to you.
The last event we attended last night was the special launch of the “Lavender Rose” tea blend, prepared for guests of The Ritz Carlton Istanbul, held at the Nobu Istanbul Suite .
Inspired by the rose and lavender flowers in the tea blend specially created by House of Waris for the Ritz Carlton Istanbul, the floral designs were prepared using the philosophy of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement.

Buse Üçer's ikebana flower design features a piece from our new vase collection, designed by Hande Ceramic Studio for Ribbon. Our vase collection will be available on our website very soon…
We'd like to tell you a little about Ikebana, the Japanese flower arrangement philosophy we adopted while preparing our flowers for this special launch.
This philosophy, meaning "living flowers" or "the state of flowers," can be defined as taking flowers from nature and bringing them to life in various sizes and locations. It is believed that while nurturing the flower, an art form emerges as a synthesis of our mind and soul. Ikebana also signifies balancing materialism and spirituality.
This philosophy, consisting of minimalist arrangements, has found expression in contemporary and decorative designs over time. It can be seen in many different styles. It is created by placing flowers symmetrically inside materials such as vases, trays, and bowls.
The art of ikebana flower arrangement basically exists in two different styles: vertical and horizontal ikebana.
Vertical Ikebana
It has a style consisting of seven branches. It usually signifies the beauty of nature. The added branches represent mountains, rivers, valleys, etc. In the past, this style was used by priests and aristocrats. The plant or flower used is designed with the aim of ensuring its own survival.
Horizontal Ikebana
This style often features triptychs, focusing on symbols such as mother, father, and child, or the world, God, and humanity. In this arrangement, creativity is added to elements seen in nature, resulting in a work of art. It is believed that these designs are a form of therapy, as the colors and scents of flowers provide spiritual solace.
