The event, which opened its doors to visitors once again on May 27-28-29, had the theme "metaverse" this year. In keeping with this theme, which opens the doors to a new world of flowers, we at RIBBON were delighted to participate with a floral installation prepared by our florists.
"Starting with the concept of the 'Fifth Dimension,' we aimed to take visitors on a transcendental journey in a new metaverse world. Our floral installation, created by RIBBON florists using neon colors and inspiration from beyond the universe, featured striking flowers in a black room and was accompanied by a video designed by Seyhan Lee , created using various artificial intelligence models."
Seyhan Lee defined the theme of this special video she created as follows:
"For a very long time, we were led to believe that our experience of the world was limited to our five senses, that only what our eyes could see existed. Yet, the scent of a flower, the beauty of a bouquet, the splendor of nature were enough to instantly transport our perception to another dimension. The power of this fifth dimension that we are discovering is changing our perception of time towards a new consciousness where beauty and grace are differentiated."
By its very nature, artificial intelligence, with its parallel perception, offers the possibility of experiencing different worlds that go beyond what our eyes can see. This artwork and other video works and images created with artificial intelligence open a door to realms of heavenly mystery and magical dimensions that will soon become our reality.
Regardless of the notion that our experience of the world is limited to our five senses and that only what our eyes can see exists, this event aimed to draw attention to the fact that our perceptions can be taken to other dimensions by the scent of flowers, the beauty of a bouquet, or the splendor of nature. Our work attracted great interest from the participants.
Floralfest, held as part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's "Beyoğlu Culture Route" events, brought together boutique florists, local designers, and various businesses from the sector. The festival, which lasted three days and was filled with joyful anticipation of summer in Tomtom neighborhood, one of Istanbul's most delightful locations, was also attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and his wife Pervin Ersoy , as well as various media organizations.
We were incredibly excited to bring our floral world into the Metaverse, a world just beginning to be explored and encompassing the future, thus giving our designs a new form. It also served as an inspiration for our brand-new designs.
