The Rarest Flower Species:

Out of approximately 400,000 different flower species on our planet, we've compiled a list of the 5 rarest for you. Here is the list of those beautiful and rare flowers...

  • Middlemist's Red Camellia

Middlemist's red camellia is considered one of the rarest flowers in the world. It is believed that there are only two known specimens of this flower, one in New Zealand and the other in England.

  • Amorphophallus Titanum (Corpse Flower)

Considered one of the largest and rarest flowers, the corpse flower is found in the rainforests of Indonesia and can reach heights of up to 12 meters in its natural habitat. It is known as the corpse flower because when it blooms, it emits a foul odor similar to rotting flesh.

  • Fire Tulip (Gloriosa superba):

Native to Asia, tropical climates, and South Africa, this beautiful and elegant flower is considered the national flower of Zimbabwe. Some of these flowers are poisonous and should be handled with care.

  • Jade Vine (Strongylodon Macrobotrys):

This magnificent claw-shaped flower, native to the rainforests of the Philippines, is endangered in the wild due to alarmingly high rates of habitat destruction. The color of the jade vine flowers varies from blue to light green.

  • Ghost Orchid (Dendrophylax Lindenii):

Ghost orchids, named after the shape of their leaves, are found in Cuba, Florida, and the Bahamas. Ghost orchids are very rare because they are almost impossible to propagate. They have no leaves, are not photosynthetic, and do not produce their own food. They require specific host trees to grow and excellent conditions to flower. In Florida, they are considered an endangered plant.
